The Houston Astros are hosting an LSU Game Day on September 5th. They are playing the Philadelphia Phillies and the game begins at 1:05 PM.

8th Annual Taste of Tiger Tailgating: August 29th 5-8 pm

The eighth annual Taste of Tiger Tailgating will take place Saturday August 29th from 5:00-8:00pm at the Baton Rouge River Center. Taste of Tiger Tailgating is well-known as the biggest tailgating party of the year. This event brings food, drinks, music, and all types of LSU merchandise together for tiger fans of all ages to enjoy.
Taste of Tiger Tailgating will bring in over 3,000 LSU fans to the Baton Rouge River Center. The Louisiana Strength Foundation will join Eagle 98.1, WDGL, at its 8th Annual Taste of Tiger Tailgating. The Louisiana Strength Foundation will hold its Capital City Classic that evening.
Taste of Tiger Tailgating first started in 2001 at the LSU Pete Maravich Assembly Center with only 25 sponsorship booths the first year. However, it wasn’t long before the event outgrew the PMAC and was forced to move to a larger facility at the Baton Rouge River Center. By 2008, there were over 3,000 people in attendance. Also in 2008, Taste of Tiger Tailgating received Radio Promotion of the Year from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters. The event, currently, averages about 125 sponsorship booths every year, with vendors ranging from car dealerships to non-profit organizations and military branches.
The Guaranty Broadcasting Group includes Guaranty Entertainment LLC which produces this event in addition. In addition, Guaranty’s radio stations are Eagle 98.1 FM – WDGL; 104 the X – KNXX/WNXX 104.9 FM and 104.5 FM; Country Legends 107.3 FM - WTGE & New Country 100.7 the Tiger FM - WYPY.
