Since the shrimp season is about over, I planned on boiling shrimp for the Arkansas game (I just couldn’t eat anymore Thanksgiving leftovers). A few months ago, Tommy’s Fish House opened in Prairieville. It is located on Old Perkins by Wal-mart and On The Half Shell. Their prices are very reasonable and the seafood is always fresh and of high quality.
While I was waiting for them to package my shrimp, Chef John Folse walked in to get some of Tommy’s gumbo, saying how good it was. Next time you’re looking for fresh seafood or just a good place to enjoy a po-boy, give Tommy’s a call. Check out their menu below.

Born and raised in N.O. but been here for 30 years. Second time we tried Tommy’s. First time 4lbs boiled and 4 lbs raw shrimp for $65. Decided to give them another try, one RB poboy and one order of stuffed mushrooms $18.50. The poboy looked like the bread was dropped in the box and had gravy poured all over it. Very little meat and it tasted like Kitchen Bouquet. No sauce for the mushrooms either. We’re done.
Have been to Tommy’s a number of of times. The food is reasonablely priced and VERY good. Will continue going. Love it.
Finally someone knows what there doing when it comes to poboys…A+
